Each year at this time, our family makes a “pilgrimage” of sorts up to the Monterrey peninsula, not only to enjoy its scenic beauty, but more so…to see the amazing cars at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and to take part in the storied racing history at the Laguna Seca raceway. We have spent many a summer behind the wheel at Laguna Seca, most recently competing in the vintage car series event held there.
While at Laguna Seca, we had the opportunity to learn more about the Laguna Seca Raceway Fund, which was formed not only to fund facility improvements, but also to continue its successful charitable and social missions. It is so rewarding to know that like-minded automotive enthusiasts can come together to preserve this facility and its traditions for the next generation, our kids and grandkids.
From the Laguna Seca Raceway Fund: To help ensure improvements continue at Mazda Raceway, the nonprofit Laguna Seca Raceway Fund, a 501(c)3 organization, was formed to collect and funnel funds toward key projects. Every dollar donated to the fund is tax-deductible and will contribute to maintaining this country’s own Cathedral of Speed.
